Golfing for A Great Cause
NOSHOK is proud to support the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association with a hole sponsorship at the 2nd Annual Sgt. Geoff Brachvogel Memorial Golf Tournament & Fundraiser on Sat., July 20th, 2013 at Deer Pass Course in Seville, OH.
This fundraiser will benefit the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association [501(c)3: 22-2559139] and will help fund RSDSA’s mission to promote greater awareness and earlier recognition of RSD, fund critical research, and provide support to people with RSD and their loved ones.
In particular, this event and fundraiser honors a fallen hero that was struck down by this terrible disease. Prior to his death, Sgt. Brachvogel proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Korean linguist, spending his time-based in California, Texas, and South Korea. Following his time in the Army, he traveled the Eastern United States visiting over 20 Major League Baseball stadiums before signing on to spend two years with the Minnesota Twins as their English Language/Cultural Coordinator and traveling to work with players in the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Ft. Myers, FL. Additionally, Sgt. Brachvogel was an avid golfer, playing Pebble Beach and the Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland among many others.
The event will include a 9-hole scramble golf tournament, long drive competition, putting contest, silent auction, raffle, and a few other small contests throughout the event.
