A Solution to Corrosion

Update:

Corrosion-Resistant Zinc Nickel Plating for ValvesCorrosion-Resistant Zinc Nickel Plating

We’re taking our research on Zinc Nickel plating as an option for our valve lines to the next level. Following suit with many high profile international aerospace and automotive companies (including The Boeing Company, Mercedes Benz, GM and Ford), and after nearly a year of our own testing, we believe ZnNi plating could be a valuable upgrade for our valves. With far superior corrosion resistance, increased deposit hardness for longer service life, and significantly high thermal resistance, this plating is extremely durable and would be well suited for a variety of demanding applications.

However, your opinions and feedback are key in making our final decision. We are currently gathering feedback from our distribution base, to see if you feel this change would be positive. For more information on this plating, click here.

Please email your feedback.

MSS SP-132-2004 COMPRESSION PACKINGS SYSTEMS FOR INSTRUMENT VALVES ALSO.

NOSHOK offers a comprehensive line of needle valves and  instrument manifolds, engineered for exceptional quality and robust performance. All NOSHOK valves are 100% helium leak tested to 1 x 10-4 ml/s for guaranteed performance and reliability.

For general process shutoff applications, our wide range of needle valves are available in a variety of sizes, connections, and materials. Models include valves suitable for high pressure and high temperature for use in heavy-duty industrial applications.  Designed to reduce the cost of installation and potential leakage, NOSHOK manifolds are also available in a variety of styles and configurations including 2-valve, 3-valve, and 5-valve.

Needle Valves

Pic1Includes mini, multiport, hard & soft seat, block & bleed, bleed, and 2-valve block & bleed needle valves. On the mini valves and bleed valves, a patent-pending body-to-bonnet, metal-to-metal seal is designed to significantly increase the pressure range of the valve without compromising the flow, and help maintain the integrity of the bonnet threads by segregating them from the process media. (Click here for product details)

2-Valve Static Pressure & Liquid Level Manifolds

Includes block & bleed, hard & soft seat, narrow block & bleed, mini block & bleed with .141orifice, mini block & bleed with .156” orifice static pressure manifold options, as well as a manifold designed for liquid level applications in pressurized tanks. (Click here for product details)

Pic23-Valve Differential Pressure Manifolds

Designed for use with differential pressure transmitters incorporating two isolation valves and an equalizing valve in differential pressure measurement, we offer several options including standard, with .375” orifice, and mini.

These manifolds are used in differential flow measurement applications in plant processing facilities such as refineries and chemical plants.(Click here for product details)

5-Valve Natural Gas Manifolds

For use with differential pressure transmitters incorporating two isolation valves, two equalizing valves and a vent valve in natural gas applications.  Standard or .375” orifice models available.

These manifolds are commonly used in custody transfer and flow measurement applications at metering stations, well heads, gathering stations, gas plants and pipelines. (Click here for product details)

  Tech Tip

Q: Can orifices and snubbers be used, and why would they be needed? NOSHOK Snubbers
A: As with other pressure measurement instruments including gauges, pressure pulsations and spikes, are issues with pressure transmitters. Whenever the pressure of an incompressible fluid is measured, there is the potential for pulsations and spikes, which can damage pressure transmitters.

An orifice installed in the pressure connection by NOSHOK can protect the transmitter from damage. Where there is the possibility of clogging the small orifice, an attachable piston snubber is recommended.
